Sponsorship Opportunities
Tax Benefits
You may wish to support the mission of the African American Planning Commission through planned gifts which may qualify for significant tax deductions. Giving options include Bequests, Charitable Gift Annuities, and Charitable Reminder Trusts. There are significant tax benefits afforded to individuals and corporations who make sizeable donations to nonprofit organizations such as ours. The African American Planning Commission is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. 100% of all Net proceeds are reinvested back into the communities we serve to further our mission.
To find out how you can financially benefit African American Planning Commission, please check with your tax advisor or accountant, as AAPCI is not in a position to provide tax advice.
Bequests and Estate Planning (Planned Giving)
There are many ways to create a meaningful legacy to help ensure the future of the African American Planning Commission — such as including a bequest in your will or living trust — that may also provide tax and financial benefits to you, depending on your circumstances and objectives. You may contact Matthew Okebiyi, CEO at (718) 635-4235 or mokebiyi@aapci.org.

Donations of Appreciated Securities (Stocks)
Using securities that have gone up in value since you bought them is an excellent way to make a gift to AAPCI. In most cases you will be entitled to an income tax charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the securities on the date of the gift and will not have to report capital gain income. You may use securities to make your annual gift to the African American Planning Commission, contribute a special gift, or to fund a charitable gift annuity or charitable trust.
To assist you with the transfer of securities please contact Matthew Okebiyi, CEO, at mokebiyi@aapci.org or 718-635-4235.
