The work of the African American Planning Commission, Inc. (AAPCI) relies largely on the generosity of individuals like YOU. We welcome financial and in-kind contributions to support our on-going efforts to address homelessness, develop affordable housing, create economic independence and assist families in need.
AAPCI receives government funding, donations from individuals like YOU, from foundations, and from corporations which are critical to help fund program implementation and ongoing operational support. We ask for your generous financial support to help strengthen and sustain our efforts well into the future.
AAPCI is located at 630 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, 11206. AAPCI is a charitable organization registered with the State of New York. Its latest financial report is available upon request, or from the New York Attorney General’s online charities registry (www.charitiesnys.com). AAPCI is committed to reducing homelessness and addressing the related issues of domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, mental health disorders, substance abuse, shortage of affordable housing, and unemployment in the communities in which we live and serve. Matching Gifts
Ever wish you could make your gift dollars go further? You can–through your company’s matching gift program. Thousands of companies, small and large, have Matching Gift programs which double or even triple individual, tax-deductible contributions made by their employees. Your employer may be one of them!
The process is simple: ask if your company has a Matching Gift program. If so, obtain a matching gift form from your personnel office, HR department, or matching gift coordinator. Fill it out completely and send it along with your contribution to:
