New York Lawyers for the Public Interest and Lawyers Alliance for New York are pleased to share this additional guidance for nonprofit organizations regarding impacts of 501(c)(3) revocation. There have been reports that the government may look for ways to revoke 501(c)(3) status of some organizations engaged in activities that are disfavored by the current administration. While we do not know whether or how this will happen, we are providing this Legal Alert to explain some of the expected consequences for an organization if it has its 501(c)(3) status revoked.
