Nixon R. Pierre, MS
Program Coordinator

Nixon R. Pierre started his journey within the field of social services 19 years ago.  Mr. Pierre’s introduction to the field started with Families-In-Need, in an attempt to prevent homelessness as an Operation Manager.  While working with Families-In-Need, Mr. Pierre worked at a Juvenile Detention (male) Centre as a Child Supervisor for detained youths. Later on, Mr. Pierre continued to work with At-Risk-Youth in a Group-Home, and simultaneously a Program Director for Homeless and Runaway Youths (Male/Female). In like manner, Mr. Pierre went on to become a Director of Operations working with Single Adult Males, Assistant Program Director working with Domestic Violence, Program Director with Families with Children, Single Adult Females (enhanced) and Special Population formerly known as Sanctuary/Migrant/Emergency.

Mr. Pierre graduated with an Associate Degree in Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and later achieved a Master’s Degree of Science in Management.  In continuity of Mr. Pierre’s educational goal, he enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Leadership, with a concentration in Organizational Change and Management.

Mr. Pierre postulates that routine is the forbearer of structure which creates the basis of understanding; therefore, from the plateau of understanding, good leadership is able to duplicate their abilities to those around them.  In so doing, creating a platform for individuals to spring forward.  A path of success.  Transforming people who transform their community and ultimately the greater good of society.
