On July 16, 2025, Edwin’s Place hosted a book fair event for its tenants. Stacked with over 2,000 books, AAPCI’s staff organized book giveaways, hot dogs and snacks, and readings for the kids. This amazing event – with books for adult, young adults, and children – is part of AAPCI’s summer 2025 Literacy Series across each of its family sites. This event, as well as those as Serenity House, Renee Steedley, and Queens Family, would not be possible without its partnership with, and generous donations by, Book Fairies (https://thebookfairies.org/) and Brooklyn Book Bodega (https://www.brooklynbookbodega.org/) .
