Using securities that have gone up in value since you bought them is an excellent way to make a gift to AAPC. In most cases you will be entitled to an income tax charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the securities on the date of the gift and will not have to report capital gain income. You may use securities to make your annual gift to the African American Planning Commission, contribute a special gift, or to fund a charitable gift annuity or charitable trust.

A beneficiary designation is the simplest way to make a legacy gift to the African American Planning Commission. When you complete your beneficiary designation form, simply name African American Planning Commission as a full, partial or contingent beneficiary and provide our federal taxpayer identification number: 11-3305070. In addition, these gifts bypass probate and go directly to your beneficiaries.
