AAPCI in your community

Contact your school or local newspaper and tell them about the African American Planning Commission. See if they’ll publish a human interest story.

Bulletin boards

Do you have access to posting things on a bulletin board at school, work, your place of worship, or community center? Put up a flyer about the African American Planning Commission. You could even include tear-off tabs with the website address so people will be sure to remember where to go.

Meetings, community leaders, and organizations

Do you belong to any community or school groups that regularly hold meetings? Make an announcement about the African American Planning Commission at your next community or student organization meeting, and encourage attendees to sign up. Maybe your group could even consider holding an event to raise awareness about the African American Planning Commission and its mission!

Do you know of any community leaders where you live? Tell them about the African American Planning Commission and ask if they’ll pass the word along!

Visit any local organizations in your community. Tell them about the African American Planning Commission, and encourage them to register their organization on the aapci.org website. Remember, it’s always FREE to do so!

Send us your feedback

Let us know what’s happening in your community, and share any ideas you have and resources you’ve created for spreading AAPCI. It would be great to hear from you! Please visit our Contact page to submit your stories or feedback.
