Tell your Friends, Family and colleagues
One of the best ways you can help spread the word about AAPCI is through Email. Send all your contacts a quick message with a link to the AAPCI web site: www.aapci.org. If you need some help with what to say, check out some of these emails you can use: Tell A Friend.
Are you a picture or video junkie? If so, take a photo or make a little movie expressing the African American Planning Commission’s mission in your own way, or share images of your community in action. Become an official fan of AAPCI.org.
Contact your school or local newspaper and tell them about the African American Planning Commission. See if they’ll publish a human interest story.
Bulletin boards
Do you have access to posting things on a bulletin board at school, work, your place of worship, or community center? Put up a flyer about the African American Planning Commission. You could even include tear-off tabs with the website address so people will be sure to remember where to go.
Meetings, community leaders, and organizations
Do you belong to any community or school groups that regularly hold meetings? Make an announcement about the African American Planning Commission at your next community or student organization meeting, and encourage attendees to sign up. Maybe your group could even consider holding an event to raise awareness about the African American Planning Commission and its mission!
Do you know of any community leaders where you live? Tell them about the African American Planning Commission and ask if they’ll pass the word along!
