Even though African Americans account for about 13% of the United States population, they account for about half of the people who contract HIV and AIDS.  HIV/AIDS is also the leading cause of death for black women ages 25-34.  But detecting the disease early can greatly prolong life and that is the focus of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on Sunday.

For more information about HIV & AIDS, visit Edwin's Place. Please make a small donation if you are able. All donations will go to the development of Edwin's Place and help families living with the disease.
