The African American Planning Commission
(AAPCI) Inc., is a New York City-based 501 (C)(3),
nonprofit organization. Oversight of all agency programs and activities
are overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors who meet regularly
to lead the functions of the organization through a variety of
committees.
The Board's composition includes expertise in housing development,
shelter management, program setup and administration, and fiscal
oversight.
An Advisory Board, made up of community residents and individuals
from the target population, brings a broad range of expertise
and perspectives. This mix allows AAPCI to coalesce the range
of knowledge and perspectives needed to initiate its mission and
implement its activities.
